Multispectral Object Analysis

Objects identification through iconographic informations generated by airport scanners.

Client

Airport Security Company

Request

In an airport control context, the alarm could be triggered by the presence of luggage with a possible dangerous object. It happens, however, that the presence of this object is reported and briefly described as well even though it has never been seen directly (e.g. a teddy bear containing cocaine).

Solution

We invented the "iconographic tagging"
Given the multispectral images of the security terminals, an operator can provide a simple sketch of the object to be searched.
We invented the “iconographic tagging”.
Given multi-spectral imaging of luggage controls an operator can provide just a very simple “sketch” of the object to be used as a term of comparison.
The system will detect and infer if any luggage could contain similar objects and rises an alarm if positive.
